Cindy
Cindy is our Communications Coordinator… or the first voice you 'meet' when you call Critter Sitters. She is the member of our office staff with whom new clients make their first contact. She enjoys talking to people who are seeking information about our fantastic pet sitting services and hearing about their pets! She has been with Critter Sitters, Inc. since 2003, and really enjoys being able to help the people who reach out to us with their pet sitting needs. She counts herself very fortunate to be able to work with such wonderful people -your pet sitters… and you!
Cindy has lived with pets in her home all her life, from her folk's English Springer Spaniel that helped welcome her as a baby, to numerous cats and dogs that spent their years as much-loved members of her family, to a wonderful, huge old Saint Bernard by the name of Harley that brought love and laughter to her husband and kids for eight great years, to her present herd of beloved kitties (and one German Shepherd mix, Duke, with the biggest ears you ever saw!). She has three wonderful grown children, who are now lovingly owned by their own pets.
She lives in "the country" with her husband of 36 years and loves books and to crochet for her family and friends (she has a standing order for her handmade catnip toys that are given to the kitty clients), and she looks forward to the day when she can indulge her passion for beading and making jewelry – and reading all those books!!
She considers it a joy to work at Critter Sitters, Inc. with others who share her love of animals and the desire to give them the best care possible.
Jane
Jane started Critter Sitters when, in 1985, she found herself in need of - well… a pet sitter! At that time there were no pet sitters serving her area. This realization prompted her to begin to provide services to "furry family members" around the area. "I can’t be the only one who needs this kind of service." And with that, a business was born. More than 20 years later, Critter Sitters is the premiere professional pet sitting service of its kind in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Jane enjoys drawing and photography in her "copious" free time. Loves reading and listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends. Currently, she shares her home with 4 cats- Omi, Rio and more recently Gladys and Dylan; 2 tortoises Eek and Kidira, and... oh yeah, her fiancé Scott.*
* The best darn cat herder in town.
Astrith
Astrith has been with Critter Sitters since 2002. She was born in Seattle and has had in interest in animals since she was a little girl. She is currently attending UWM and hopes to graduate the fall of 2008. Although walking dogs and taking care of all her client's pets is a full time job, Astrith hopes to eventually open up a No Kill Pit bull & Animal Shelter. In the picture with her are her three pit bulls, Buddy, Stella Blue and Ursa Major. She likes working with the wonderful pets and their people that she gets the pleasure of meeting. Her enjoyment of 'different scenery' and her flexibility makes her a valuable asset. In addition, she enjoys the fact that she can help an animal in need. Astrith enjoys going to concerts and is a huge music fan. She likes to paint, draw, and use clay - anything to express her artistic side. On sunny days she likes to find a spot outside by a tree and read a good book or to garden and watch things grow! Astrith will be getting married to her love of many years, Joe, in April of 2008.
Pam
Pamela has worked for Critter Sitters for many years. She'll become your pet's new "Auntie" and takes great pride in developing trust with each and everyone of her clients. Pam enjoys spending time with friends and family... and taking care of her five and six year old nieces. In her spare time, she loves making pets beds, cat toys and other craft items. Having grown up with all types of pets; from dogs to cats, bunnies to fish, Pam seems right at home with every furry creature. Currently, she shares her home with a turtle, two finches and the 'kids'- kitties who are the love of her life… and she "spoils 'em rotten!"
Michelle
Michelle started pet sitting for Critter Sitters originally as a way to deal with the stress of giving nearly 24-hour care to her father who had developed Alzheimer's disease. Visiting a few sweet and funny furry friends each day proved to be wonderful therapy. She has continued her career in professional pet sitting for Critter Sitters full-time and enjoys meeting clients and their pets and works hard to gain their trust. Michelle takes great satisfaction in caring for older pets, or those with special medical needs. In her free time, she likes to travel to Antigo for fishing, canoeing, biking and four-wheeling. At home, she enjoys various crafts and floral arranging and spending time with my three cats- Izzy, Penelope and Keoke.
Stephanie
Stephanie started with Critter Sitters as a pet sitter and now she also handles some marketing duties. Stephanie loves being able to meet pets and their people. She grew up with a kitty of her own (Midnight) and got to spend summers on her aunt's farm where she learned about all sorts of furry critters. In her spare time, she loves driving in her '78 Firebird and spending time with her fiance Phil and their six kitties. This Fall, Stephanie plans on attending Marquette part time.
